I was born in Milwaukee and attended grade school at Pilgrim Lutheran in Wauwatosa. Our own Mr. Doug Schroeder was my coach in girls’ sports. In 1981, I graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. I attended Concordia College, Mequon and received my BA in Elementary Education. I received my first call to East Point, Georgia and taught 3rd and 5th grades. Within a year, I met my husband and married in Georgia. I became a full-time mother in 1991 and had three beautiful daughters, Rachel, Lindsey and Caitlin. I talked my husband into leaving the South, and I returned to Wisconsin in 1996, the year Atlanta hosted the Olympics. In the year 1998 we were blessed with a son, Nathan. My plan was to return to teaching when Nathan was in the first grade. God blessed me with an amazing gift when a teaching position opened up right here at Our Redeemer Lutheran. I am truly blessed to teach in a top-notch school that I believe in. I know that my children have had an awesome experience here, and now I am sharing in that same mission to honor God here in this wonderful place.
