Mrs. Nan Burger

Mrs. Burger grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Iowa State University and later extended her teaching license through 6th grade at Alverno College.  She completed the Lutheran Teacher’s Colloquy Program at Concordia University-Mequon.

When her children reached school age, Mrs. Burger taught in the Elmbrook School System as a substitute teacher for 5 years and then came to Our Redeemer as a full time teacher in 1994.  She has taught 2nd grade, 5th grade, and  is currently teaching 6th grade.  She is our Accelerated Reader Coordinator and co-advisor to the Reading Club.

Mrs. Burger’s husband is Mr. Bob Burger, Our Redeemer’s Stewardship and Development Director/Pastoral Support    She has two sons, Andy and Dan.   Andy lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife, Kate.   Dan and his wife Christen, live in Milwaukee.  Together, the Burgers have 6 children and 12 grandchildren, seven of whom are students at Our Redeemer!  When not in the classroom, Mrs. Burger likes to read and spend time working in the garden.
