I am the resource room/special education teacher at Our Redeemer, but am actually employed by Lutheran Special School and Education Resources to serve at Our Redeemer. (That means I have two bosses, two faculties, and double the fun of working with them!) I attended both Concordia in Wisconsin and Concordia in River Forest, Illinois and received a degree in elementary education in 1974. After teaching second grade in Wisconsin and kindergarten in southern Missouri, I stayed home with my three young children. When I returned to the classroom, I began as a teacher's aide in a resource room in a Lutheran school in St. Louis and then took the courses necessary to be certified as a special education teacher. I taught in a resource room for 10 years in St. Louis and moved to Milwaukee in 2002 when my husband accepted a call to teach theology at Concordia University. During my first year here I taught fourth grade at Mt. Calvary. I have been at Our Redeemer since August 2003 and really enjoy working with the students that have learning difficulties. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family (inlcuding two grandchildren!), reading, and traveling (especially to see the youngest child and husband in Seattle, Washington).
