Hello!
My name is Alicia Bietz and I am so very blessed to be teaching at Our Redeemer!!! My career in the Lutheran ministry began in baptism at Elm Grove Lutheran Church where I was also confirmed and married. I attended Elm Grove Lutheran School and Milwaukee Lutheran High School. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse with a degree in elementary education in 1986. Prior to my position here at Our Redeemer, I spent 15 years teaching 4th grade and science in the Milwaukee Public Schools. In addition to teaching 6th grade I coordinate the Knowledge Bowl and coach 6th grade girls volleyball.
On a personal note, my husband Michael and I have three sons who all graduated from Our Redeemer. Our oldest, Erik (20) is a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps currently stationed at Marine Corps Headquarters in Quantico,VA. Our twins, Nick and Ethan (17) are seniors at Menomonee Falls High School and are involved with coaching cross country, swimming, student council, and after school jobs. Our family enjoys camping, traveling, swimming, hiking, and going to high school activities.
