Dear parents,
Congratulations on being the parents of 8th graders! You have come a long way to finally be embarking on this final year of grade school! We thank you for choosing Our Redeemer as your school for this year, though many of you have been here many years! This year promises to be a year like no other and that is simply from the fact that Jesus is at work in the hearts and lives of your children! God has uniquely designed this group down to each individual personality for a reason. Our goal this year, as 8th grade teachers, is to really seek God’s wisdom, through prayer, so that we might not miss any opportunity to teach and equip these children in their faith and to deepen their personal relationship with Jesus.
We are asking for your help. As parents, we know that our children belong to God. Yet, while they are in our care, here on earth, we are called to be covering them in prayer. Prayer is the most personal way God has given us to communicate with Him! We would like to set up an opportunity for prayer on behalf of these 8th grade children.
A characteristic of God to pray for your child each week accompanied with a Bible verse.
- this will be posted on the web site (also a copy attached)
- each characteristic will be then highlighted during the week in our classroom prayers
As we (Jim and Faith) pray earnestly for each of our students and our classes as a whole, we also include you the parents. You are the most influential person in your child’s life! The reality of that can be overwhelming, yet God in His wisdom gave you your 8th grade child and longs to talk with you and work with you as you go through this school year! We praise God today for all He is going to do this year!
In Him,
Faith and Jim
