What are we studying? This website is not intended to act as an assignment notebook but rather to keep you up-to-date on what we are studying and what tests or projects are coming up. Please check with your child for daily assignments which are written in their assignment notebook.
WEEK OF February 6, 2012.......
Religion - Unit 4. The Teachings of Jesus. Memory for Friday: Catechism....Under the section titled Sacrament of the Altar/ Where is this written?
Mrs. Bietz Math - Lessons 73 - 76. Parents....if/when you check your child's math at night please make sure he/she is working out problems. Many of the students are thinking they can do the math in their heads only to get the problem wrong. The biggest reason they do the math in their heads is that it takes less time then it does to work it out step by step on paper. If they aren't working the problems out I can't see where the problem lies and therefore am not able to help them. Thanks for your help on this!
English - Adjectives. These descriptive words color our language and make sentences come to life!
Science - Matter. We know what it is from our last chapter now we will learn about the different states of matter, how these change, and how a gas behaves.
Geography - Caribbean South America and beginning South America.
Spelling - Test 6 on Friday, Feb. 10th. Word roots of -mit, -mis, -man, and -ped
