Parents - Would you like to see your child's work here?
Connecting Others to Christ,
through Academics, Athletics, TECHNOLOGY and Fine Arts
Dear Parents of 3rd through 5th graders,
Our new year starts with excitement as we see all the possibilities that God sets before us with a class full of students. We are reminded with assurance that “with God all things are possible!” The possibilities that exist within a classroom are endless! Here at Our Redeemer we have been blessed with awesome technology that we would like to enable our students to use in a brand new way.
As you may know, each classroom has its own “classroom page” on our website. (You're looking at it!) Within each classroom page, we would like to display a sample of each student’s work throughout this school year. Possibilities of work to be displayed might be a poem, a story, a piece of art work, a mission statement, a video of a performance, students made bulletin boards…the list could go on forever! We need your permission to display your child's work and to use their first name on the website. If your child would like to participate, please ask your child's teacher for a permission slip. For example, if a poem was displayed on the third grade page, we would include something like, “Jump for Joy, by Katherine.”

Deanna Sapiro is one of the fourth grade teachers here at Our Redeemer. She grew up in the southern Illinois town of Edwardsville, attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and Metro East Lutheran High School. After graduation, she found her way to Wisconsin and earned her teaching degree from Concordia University in Mequon. While there, she also met her husband Dave. They have two daughters, Allison and Emma, both of which are students at Our Redeemer.
Mrs. Sapiro began teaching at Our Redeemer in 2001, but her coaching career goes back even further. In the spring of 1995 she began coaching the 8th grade girls volleyball team and four years ago picked up the 7th and 8th grade softball team.
In her free time, Deanna enjoys reading, staying active riding her bike, running or doing yard work, reading, and just spending time with her family, which also includes her family at Our Redeemer!
