Marjorie Dobberfuhl grew up in Grafton, Wisconsin. She attended Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Illinois where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. Later she also earned a Master of Arts in Education degree from Concordia, River Forest.. She began her teaching career at Immanuel Lutheran School in Brookfield, Wisconsin, teaching second and third grades. After taking some time off to raise her children, Marji returned to substitute teaching. She has been teaching at Our Redeemer since 1993, first in third grade and now in second grade.
Marji and her husband Tom have four grown children and two grandchildren. In her free time, Marji enjoys reading, the outdoors, cooking, and traveling, especially to visit her children in Minnesota.
