Christmas Gift for A Place of Refuge
The first quarter book report is due on October 18th.
Please join us in Uncovering the True Meaning of Christmas as we present "The First Leon" this coming Wednesday, December 10th, at 6:30 PM. All 3rd - 5th grade students are asked to meet in their classrooms at 6:15. We hope you will enjoy this Children's Christmas Musical that we have prepared in order to worship HIM during this Advent season. We have spent a great deal of time working on this service – we hope you all will be able to come!
Your Vote Counts!
The 3rd, 4th and 5th graders of Our Redeemer welcomed two area Lutheran Schools to join them in hearing a presentation given by Milwaukee Alderman, Jim Bohl. On Tuesday, October 21st, Immanuel, Brookfield and St. Peter-Immanuel gathered with us to hear about “The Election Process: How Your Vote Counts.” A few of the questions that Alderman Bohl answered were the following:
ü How old do you need to be to vote?
ü Which group of citizens is most likely to vote?
ü Who can vote?
ü How do you effectively run for office?
ü How is the Federal Government organized?
Did you know…We actually have 51 separate elections for the President!?

I grew up in Albion, Michigan where I attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. After high school I decided to attend Concordia University Wisconsin. I studied elementary education / math and played football at Concordia. After graduating I married Sarah a fellow Concordia grad whom I dated for four years. We recently bought a home in Wauwatosa and the Lord is continuously blessing us both. Now I am one of two fifth grade teachers as well as the assistant youth ministry director at Our Redeemer.
