Track and Field Day – What a perfect day to hold our track and field day! The kids all were putting forth a great effort to do their best. I hope your child felt like they were encouraged during the day regardless of where they finished. God has blessed us with healthy bodies, and encouraging our kids to be active is an important goal.
Book Report – The last book report is due in one week on Monday, May 21. Once again the report should be hand written or typed on a separate paper. Points will be deducted for spelling and punctuation errors, so please proof read. The extra credit involves your child reading a short portion of the story with sound effects. The story is not to be acted out, simply read with proper inflection. Your child may also want to play exciting background music. The public library has movie sound tracks or classical music that would work.
Brewer Tailgate – The Brewer game is on Monday, May 21. We will have a tailgate party after school at 4:30 here at OR. Families should bring their own meat and buns. We will have the grills, condiments, and drinks available. We are asking $1.50 per person to cover the cost. Also your child will bring home a list something to bring for the tailgate.
Social Studies Extra Credit – Your child may still do extra credit for Social Studies until the end of the year. They simply need to complete a lesson review or chapter review from their Social Studies book.
AR Store - The A.R. store will be open on Friday, May 25th for students to spend their earned A.R. points on various prizes. We are looking for donations including cans of soda and candy. Please deliver to Mrs. Voigt’s classroom. Thank you very much!
